Managing Consultant:

Network Engagement Lead

The Network Engagement Lead is a client-facing role responsible for leading our clients' network projects – providing technology expertise and project direction, negotiating with suppliers, and managing relationships with client teams. Ideal candidates will have experience with large (e.g., Fortune 250) enterprises as well as direct negotiation experience with network suppliers. Additionally, candidates should have experience identifying, developing, and securing new network business opportunities with clients.


Must have:

  • A working knowledge of MPLS, SD WAN, DIA, broadband, unified communications and other enterprise network technologies
  • Direct experience negotiating with domestic and global service providers, including AT&T, Verizon, Lumen, Comcast, Bell Canada, BT, Vodafone, OBS, TATA, and others 
  • Expertise in crafting network contracts on behalf of clients – including financial, operational, and commercial terms
  • A thorough, current understanding of network market, pricing, and technical trends


Additional details:

  • Lead, drive, and own the success of assigned network engagements
  • Build engagement strategy and approach, including financial, technical, and operational implications
  • Manage project timelines
  • Provide guidance and direct other project team members to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Keep clear and direct communication lines with clients to minimize miscommunication and misunderstandings
  • Negotiate directly with network suppliers, including executives and working teams
  • Provide comparative analysis and reconciliation of supplier solutions and create recommendations
  • Monitor all deliverables (including contractual, written, and verbal) to keep projects on track and ensure that timelines and contractual commitments are being met by all parties
  • Be well-informed on all aspects of projects (e.g.: timelines, budgets, service agreements, communications)
  • Readily identify priorities and anticipate issues, potential conflicts, inaccuracies, or miscalculations
  • Present, host, facilitate, or participate in virtual and on-site meetings and conference calls


Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8 to 15 years of experience in similar roles
  • Working knowledge of Excel and other tools
  • Extreme attention to detail – both tactical and strategic (thinking through interdependencies, outcomes, implications)
  • Comfortable and effective working with all levels of the client organization, in person or remotely
  • Able to build rapport and establish trust with clients as well as manage client expectations
  • Adept in observing and taking action on client behaviors and nuances that may influence project results
  • Able to identify potential issues and take action for remediation
  • Experience completing multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong organizational follow-through and time management skills
  • Able to set priorities and multi-task while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
  • Proactive work ethic and problem-solving skills
  • Able to analyze information and problems and develop creative solutions
  • Strong people skills and the ability to promote teamwork
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Capable of meeting deadlines and working within daily time constraints
  • Adept at general administrative tasks like data entry and word processing
  • Professional judgment for handling confidential information
  • Self-motivated, independent, and able to successfully work from home or remotely
